Rooted in Kerala's spice tradition. Committed to a fairer, more transparent spice trade.
Green Harvest Spices began in 2012 when Arun Varghese watched his father sell a full year's pepper harvest to a broker for a price that didn't cover the season's costs. The broker resold it at 4Γ that price. Something was broken.
Arun spent two years travelling Kerala's spice districts, building relationships with farmers who shared his frustration and his vision: that the people who grow the world's finest spices should be the primary beneficiaries of that quality.
Today we partner with 48 farm families across Wayanad, Idukki, and Thrissur β selling directly to chefs, home cooks, Ayurvedic brands, and specialty exporters who value traceability and exceptional quality.
"The farmer who spends 365 days nurturing a crop deserves to earn more than the person who spends 5 minutes reselling it."
β Arun Varghese, Founder
To make Kerala's finest organic spices accessible to the world while ensuring that the farmers who produce them receive fair, dignified compensation and recognition.
A spice trade where quality is rewarded, provenance is verifiable, and every stakeholder from farm to kitchen benefits equitably from the value created.
Every product we sell is traceable to the farm it came from. Every farmer we buy from is named, paid fairly, and treated as a partner β not a vendor.
